Things I Missed While I Was Away from Los Angeles
My hometown has about 25,000 people or so. And it’s in Oklahoma. And I was there for 21 days. Culture shock.
- Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
- Trader Joe’s
- Whole Foods
- Vegetarian Food in General (Vegetarian food in Oklahoma means bread and/or cheese)
- my beautiful cats, Emma and Lomo
- husband (yeah, I put Coffee Bean ahead of him. Don’t fuck with my soy vanilla lattes, no sugar added)
- my DVR. My mom’s was all filled up with Dr. Phil or Oprah so I had limited room for my shit.
- my clothes. I wasn’t planning on being gone so long so I only brought a carry on bag with about 3 days worth of clothes. They were washed and worn A LOT.
- Sunshine. It rained almost every day I was back home.
- My car. I had to give up my beloved Honda Element for some white Pontiac rental car.
- My Tempurpedic mattress and pillow. I slept on my mom’s couch for 20 nights.
- seeing plastic surgery nightmares on a daily basis
